Benito Rendon Ruiz

Benito Rendon Ruiz, 79, of Slaton, left to be with The Lord on Wednesday, December 4, 2019.  

Rosary will be Friday, December 6th, 2019 at 6 PM in Englunds Chapel.

Mass will be celebrated at 10 AM Saturday, December 7, 2019 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Slaton.  Burial will follow in Englewood Cemetery. Arrangements by Englunds Funeral Service in Slaton.

Benito was born on April 3rd, 1940 in Coleman to Guadalupe and Consuelo Rendon Ruiz. He attended Coleman Schools and worked with his family in Agriculture until 1956 he went to work for Farmers Coop, retiring in 2003. Ben married Mary Louise Solis in Lubbock on May 21, 1965, she preceded him in death in 2014. He enjoyed his family and grandchildren and great grandson. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe of Slaton.

Ben is survived by his daughter, Irene and husband Jeff Schwartz of Garland, his son Larry Joe Ruiz of Slaton, three grandchildren, Karman Bernal, Katlyn Rodriquez and Kurstin Rodriquez , great grandson, Isaac Hernandez, four sisters Maria Leyva, Teresa Garza , Sarah Gonzales all of Slaton, Josie Valdez of Crowley, four brothers Steve Ruiz and Lupe Ruiz, both of Slaton, Tony Ruiz of Lubbock, and Jessie Ruiz of Buffalo, TX.
