Jimmy F. Hawley, “Pewpaw”, 76, of Slaton, passed away September 5th, 2019.
Visitation will be 6:00-7:30 PM Monday at Englunds.
Funeral Services will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at Englunds Chapel in Slaton. Interment will follow in Englewood Cemetery, Slaton. Arrangements are by Englunds Funeral Service of Slaton.
Jimmy was born November 1, 1942 in Fort Worth to Haram “Buck” and Katherine Hawley. His family moved to Shallowater when he was a child. He married Wilma Joyce Wilkinson, in 1972, in Littlefield. She preceded him in death in 2016.
He spent his career working as a parts clerk and mechanic, retiring from Module Truck Systems after more than 25 years. More recently he was known as a “junk dealer” and a lawn care taker.
He is also preceded in death by a son, Justin Lee Hawley; and a brother, John Northam.
Jimmy is survived by his son, Jimmy Dale and wife, Keeshea of Lindale: his daughter, Christy LeMaire, of Midland: his step-daughter, Darla Kay Patton and husband, Bo of Slaton; his sisters, Katherine De Camillo of Colorado, Nora Price of Oregon, Nita Gibson of Arizona, Diane Shaw of Colorado, and Sherry McClery of Childress; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
