Jesus Manuel Perchez Pinon

Jesus Manuel Perchez Pinon, 61 of Slaton, Texas went to be with his Lord on Saturday, April 22, 2017. Jesus was born Sunday, January 1, 1956 in Chihuahua, Mexico, He was the son of the late Ramon Pinon and the late Pilar Perchez Pinon. He married Diana Hernandez on Saturday, October 4, 1980 accomplishing 36 years of marriage. He attended Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Loved his family with all of his heart. Jesus's passion was training race horses and traveling to race his horses. His kids remember being with him every Sunday while he was training and traveled with him to enjoy his passion. Jesus was a loving father, grandfather, husband, and brother. He was the Patriarch of the family that everyone looked up to and went to for guidance. He enjoyed the company of his best friends from the group "Cuadra Pinon" which traveled with the horses running the big tracks and match races. He owned JMD Trucking named for him and his wife successfully for almost 20 years. His family, his trucks and his horses were his life. Jesus left a legacy among family and friends that will always be remembered. Surviving are sons; Carlos and wife Brenda Pinon and Roger Pinon, daughters; Neomi and husband Alex Saenz of New Deal TX, Ruby Pinon of Lubbock, TX and Jacqueline Pinon of Slaton, TX, brothers; Arturo and wife Olga Pinon of Lubbock, TX, and Jose Ramon and wife Maria Pinon of New Mexico, sisters; Delfina and husband Arcenio Jaquez of New Mexico and Alicia Pinon of Lubbock, TX and 13 wonderful grandchildren. A Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM on Wednesday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic church located at 705 South 4th Street Slaton, Texas 79364 with the Father Chacko Thadathil officiating. The family will receive friends for a Rosary from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM on Tuesday, April 25, 2017, at Englunds Chapel, 1400 Woodrow Road, Slaton, Texas.
