Lena Cardona

Lena Cardona, 92, of Lubbock, passed away Thursday, July 18, 2019.
Rosary will be said 6:00 pm Sunday, July 21, 2019 at Englunds Chapel. Mass will be celebrated 10:00 am Monday, July 22, 2019 at Our Lady of Guadalupe in Slaton.

Lena was born May 28, 1927 in Holman to Anacleto and Genoveva Puentes.  She married Porfirio Cardona on March 18, 1950 in Pharr.  She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Slaton.  Lena was a loving wife and mother.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband.

Lena is survived by her sons, Rick Cardona and wife, Mary Ann of Southland, and Junior Cardona and wife, Hortensia of Brownwood; her daughters, Rosetta Rivera and husband, L. R., Alicia Cuevas, and Janie Herrera and husband, Jose, all of Lubbock; nine grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
