Ora Lee Fox, 93 of Slaton, Texas went to be with her lord on Thursday, June 1, 2017, at Slaton Care Center in Slaton, Texas. Ora Lee was born Thursday, October 18, 1923 in Emory, Texas and married John Hurshel Fox on December 22, 1938 accomplishing 49 years of marriage. Ora Lee is remembered by her family as a hard working, tough lady that was full of love for her family. They remember her picking cotton with her children in the fields helping her husband. She also worked in the cafeteria in the Cooper and Slaton schools feeding the children. She was a homemaker who knew how to cook as all the family loved her meals. Ora Lee loved time with her family caring for her boys, cooking and quilting in her spare time. She attended the Baptist church and loved the Lord Jesus. Surviving are sons; Cecil and wife, Michelle Fox of Lubbock,TX and Don Hurshel Fox of Houston, TX, sister; Nelta Fay Moore, daughter-in-law; Betty Fox, 5 grandchildren; 7 great grand children and 3 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband; John Hurshel Fox and her son; Billy Louis Fox. A Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Monday at Englunds Chapel located at 1400 Woodrow Rd Slaton, Texas 79364. Interment will be in Englewood Cemetery, Slaton, TX. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Sunday, June 4, 2017, at Englunds, 1400 Woodrow Road, Slaton, Texas.
