Theron Zane French

Theron Zane French, 71 of Lubbock, Texas went to be with his Lord Wednesday, April 5, 2017, at his Residence in Lubbock, Texas. Born Tuesday, June 2, 1945 in Knox City, Texas, he was the son of the late Olen French and the late Reba Reynolds French. He was the husband of DeeEtta Meurer French whom he married at St. Josephs in Slaton in 1969. He was a graduate of Wayland University and retired from the Lubbock Police Department after 25 years of service on Patrol and Motor Division. He served as a E-5 in the Navy from 1965 until 1969 and was a Veteran of the Vietnam War. He attended Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Slaton. He was a great husband and father who had a very large generous heart, always giving everything he could. He is survived by his wife, DeeEtta Meurer French and a son; Aaron French of Lubbock, 2 sisters; Sheron Fain of Lubbock and Eunice Pace of Rule, TX. Theron was proceded in death by his sister, Roberta Stutt. A Funeral Mass service will be at 10:00 AM on Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church located at 205 South 19th Street Slaton, Texas. Interment will be in Englewood Cemetery, Slaton, TX. The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 6:30 prior to the Rosary Service at 6:30 PM on Sunday, April 9, 2017, at Englunds Chapel, 1400 Woodrow Road, Slaton, Texas.
