Tracy Lynn Menzer

Tracy Lynn Menzer, 74, of Wilson, passed away Saturday, September 7, 2019.

Visitation will be at 6:00-7:30 pm, Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at Englunds Chapel.  Funeral services will be Thursday, 10:00 am, September 12, 2019 at Hearts Together Church of Christ in Slaton.  Burial will follow in Green Memorial Cemetery in Wilson. Arrangements by Englunds Funeral Service of Slaton.

Tracy was born June 18, 1945 in Lamesa to Sid and Vivian Wristen. She graduated from Lamesa High School in 1963 and later from Texas Tech University. She married Walter Menzer in Lamesa on January 24, 1964 and they resided in Wilson.  She later received her Masters in Education and taught 27 years as an Elementary teacher and later worked as an Educational Diagnostician.  She retired in 1998.

Tracy was an avid reader, seamstress and enjoyed scrapbooking. She taught bible classes for many years to all ages. She was a member of Hearts Together Church of Christ, Retired Teachers Association and South Plains Antique Tractor Association.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Tracy is survived by her husband Walter of Wilson; daughter Sue Doshier of Slaton; brother Perry Wristen [Zee] of Lamesa; 3 grand-children; and 2 great grand-children.
