Andrew Lee Gano, 43, of Lubbock, passed away Sunday, July 12, 2020.
A Graveside Service will be at 10:00 AM Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at Englewood Cemetery in Slaton. Arrangements are under the direction of Englunds Funeral Service of Slaton.
Andrew was born April 13,1977 in Charleston, Illinois to Dan and Helen Wright. He graduated from high school in Kansas, Illinois in 1996. He was active in FFA. At the age of four he asked for a bee hive to take care of. This carried him to the point where he had recently been hired as a beekeeper for the Texas Tech Ag Department. He recently won the state championship for his honey at the State Fair of Illinois. Andrew and Melinda moved to Lubbock in June 2020. He was a member of the Kansas Christian Church.
He is preceded in death by one sister.
Andrew is survived by his parents of Kansas, Illinois; his wife, Melinda of Lubbock; his sons, Brandon Gano of Kansas, Illinois, Jason Gano of Lubbock, Luke Gano of Lubbock; his daughter, Breanna Gano of Harmony, Indiana; his sisters, Valerie Simpson and husband, Ron of Kansas, Illinois, Jennifer Wagner and husband, John of Tuscola, Illinois, Tokwa Gano of Charleston, Illinois, Anna Moore and husband, Justin of Crawfordsville, Indiana; several nieces; nephews; aunts and uncles.
