Anna Marie Flores

Anna Maria Flores, 67, of Lubbock, passed away on Wednesday, September 6, 2023.

Viewing will be from 1:00-6:00 p.m. Sunday, September 10, 2023, followed by a Rosary Service at 6:00 pm at Englunds Chapel in Slaton.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Monday, September 11, 2023, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Wilson. Interment will follow at Green Memorial Park Cemetery in Wilson. Arrangements are under the direction of Englunds Funeral Service of Slaton. 

Anna was born September 10, 1955, in Corpus Christi to John and Concepcion Guzman. She married Milo Flores August 23, 1974, in Slaton. She worked for Lubbock Cooper Schools in the cafeteria for over 20 years, retiring as a manager in 2011. Anna had a green thumb and enjoyed gardening, crocheting, and playing bingo. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who loved her family dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughters, April Dawn Flores and Santanna Flores; her great-grandson, Benjamin Ray Ortega; her sister Teresa Maria Spinks and her brother, Lupe Guzman. 

Anna is survived by her husband; her daughter, Belinda Weatherford of Lubbock; her sisters, Frances Flores and Ester Rodriguez both of Lubbock; her brothers, Johnny Guzman of Wilson, Jesse Guzman of Wilson and Alfred Guzman of Lubbock; her grandchildren, Joey Ortega Jr., Sianna Ortega, Devin Weatherford and Isaac Weatherford; and her great-grandchildren, E’lysa Ortega, Olivia Ortega and Tobias Picon.
