Anna Kaye Foerster, 79,  of Lubbock, passed away on Sunday, January 4, 2026.

Graveside services will be at 10:30 am on Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at Englewood Cemetery in Slaton, with private family viewing only. Arrangements are by Englunds Funeral Service of Slaton.

Anna was born on November 11, 1946 in Lubbock to Eugene Hilton and Anna Belle Foerster. She attended schools in Shallowater before transferring to Slaton High her senior year to play basketball. She graduated in 1965. She received her cosmetology license and worked in the field for a while before becoming an Operating Room Tech.  With a desire to further her education and help others, she became an L.V.N. and worked at Methodist, now Covenant, Hospital for many years before going to work at Brownfield Regional Hospital, and later retired. Being an excellent basketball player in school, she was an avid basketball fan.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and her brother, Farron Foerster.  

Anna is survived by her brother, Jimmy Foerster and his wife, Tish, of Shallowater; her best friend, Margaret Davis; and her nieces, nephews, and cousins.  Anna was “Nanner” to Tatum and Perry Philpot.
