Arthur Trevino Castillo, 72 of Slaton, passed away on Tuesday, June 2, 2026.

Viewing will be from 11:00 am on Tuesday, June 9, 2026 at Englunds Chapel, followed by a 6:00 pm Rosary Service. Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 am Wednesday, June 10, 2026 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Lubbock. Interment will follow at Englewood Cemetery in Slaton. Arrangements are by Englunds Funeral Services in Slaton.

Arthur was born on April 29, 1954 in Pleasanton, Texas to Ysidro and Lille Castillo. He grew up in Pleasanton, working on a ranch and in the oil fields and moved to Wilson in 1983. He worked for Wilson Co-op Gin and G & H Castings, which became Gould’s Pump, as a truck driver and retired after 36 years. He was a fan of the Dallas Cowboys and the Texas Tech Red Raiders. Most of all, he loved life and giving life lessons, and spending as much time as possible with his grandkids.

He is preceded in death by his father, his two sisters, Lillie Gallegos and Mary Tijerina, and his brother, Henry Castillo.

Arthur is survived by his wife, Juana Castillo of Slaton; his mother, Lillie T. Chapa of Wilson; his daughters, Lillie Ann Diaz and her husband, Abel of Lubbock, and Brenda Lee Jackson and her husband, Jeremy of New Deal; his sons, Adam Castillo and his wife, Cindy of Lubbock, Greg Castillo and his wife, Rebecca of Slaton, Ruben Rodriquez of Slaton, and Arthur Lee Castillo, Jr. and his wife, Bethany of Abernathy; his sisters, Irma Ramos and her husband, Ramiro of Pleasanton, and Lisa Linz of Nebraska; his brothers, Gene Castillo and Esperanza of Crosbyton, Eric Castillo of OK. and Brad Castillo of OK; his grandchildren, Jacob, Jayton, and Jason Castillo, Madison Brunson, Nathaneol, Kathryn, and Jeremiah Castillo, Amyah Rodriquez, Karley and Julian Diaz, and Victoria, Thomas, Hannah, and Amelia Jackson; and his great-grandchildren, Joaquín Castillo and Waylon Brunson; and two on the way.
