Beatrice Trevino Gloria

Beatrice Gloria of Slaton, Texas went home to our Lord on Saturday, June 20, 2020.

A Private Memorial Service will be held at Englunds Chapel in Slaton. She will be laid to rest at Englewood Cemetery in Slaton. Due to social distancing and limited seating on every other pew, the service is primarily for the family. It is requested that attendees wear a mask.  Arrangements are under the direction of Englunds Funeral Service of Slaton.

Beatrice “Bea” was born in Harlingen, Texas to Francisco and Inez Trevino on May 10, 1932.  She married Mike Gloria on October 13, 1951 in Brady, Texas.  They celebrated 47 years of marriage before his passing on November 17, 1998 in Slaton. Bea worked for Slaton Independent School District as a cafeteria employee for over 20 years.  She retired from Slaton ISD but continued to work part time for them over the next few years. Bea enjoyed taking care of her Pomeranians, Tiny and Harley. She also loved to collect dolls, embroidering, and sewing.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sons; older brother, Luis Trevino; and granddaughter, Kimberly.

Bea is survived by her daughters, Beatrice Gloria, and Sylvia Valdez and her husband, Freddy all of Slaton; her brothers, Manuel Trevino of Scottsbluff, Nebraska, and Henry Trevino of Amarillo, Texas; several grandchildren; great grandchildren; nieces; and nephews.
