Beatrice “Bea” Trevino, 81, of Slaton, passed away on Saturday, December 17, 2022.

Viewing will be 11:00am-6:00pm Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at Englunds, followed by a Rosary Service at 6:00 pm.  Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 am Thursday, December 22, 2022 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Slaton.  Interment will follow in Englewood Cemetery under the direction of Englunds Funeral Service of Slaton.

Bea was born on June 8, 1941 in Ballinger to Thomas and Etonislada Biera.  Her family moved to Posey when she was 5 and she attended school in Slaton. She married Manuel Trevino on October 3, 1959 and they celebrated 63 years of marriage. She retired in 2001 after 40 years of service with Slaton Independent School District and continued to work part time. She also served with the Slaton Women’s Chamber of Commerce for many years. Bea loved taking care of her family in many ways, one of those being a fabulous cook. She was also known for her tamales.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her infant son, David Trevino; her sister, Minnie Biera; and her brother, Henry Biera.

Bea is survived by her husband, Manuel; her daughter, Minnie Barry and her husband, Bobby of Austin; her sons, Gilbert Trevino and his wife, Sylvia of Anson and Leonard Trevino and his wife, Yvonne of Lubbock; her sister, Carolina Carmona of Slaton; her brother, Daniel Biera and his wife, Gloria of Lubbock; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
