Beverly Ostrander

Beverly June Ostrander, 72, of Lubbock, passed away on Thursday, August 24, 2023.

Viewing and visitation will be from 5:00-7:00p.m. Sunday, August 27, 2023, at Englunds in Slaton. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 28, 2023, at Englunds Chapel. Interment will follow at Englewood Cemetery in Slaton. Arrangements are under the direction of Englunds Funeral Service of Slaton.

Beverly was born on September 15, 1950, in Jayton to Richard and Norma June Brooks. She grew up in Marble Falls and graduated as Valedictorian from Marble Falls High School in 1968. In 1970, she married Johnny Ostrander at Marble Falls Baptist Church. After they were married, they moved back and forth between Lubbock and Marble Falls, finally settling at their home in Lubbock in 1977, never to leave again. She spent her life alongside Johnny, as co-owner and co-operator of Ostrander Masonry. Their love of Mexican food practically kept El Chicos in business. Beverly loved fishing, the mountains, the ocean, and always going to aquariums when she could. Her passion was spending time with Johnny and her family, and especially her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her sister, Brenda Hinson; her brother, Richard Brooks; and her dog, Tinker.

Beverly is survived by her daughter, Tracey Rennels and Corey North of Lubbock; her sons, Kelly Ostrander and his wife, Brandi and Jerry Ostrander and his wife, Michelle, all of Lubbock; her sister, Nita Bounds of Lubbock; her brother, Jesse Brooks and his wife, Melanie of Oklahoma; ten grandchildren: and nine great-grandchildren.
