Brenda Barner

Brenda Barner, 70, of Post, passed away on February 16, 2021.  

Private Graveside services will be Saturday, February 20, 2021 at Terrace Cemetery in Post.  No viewing will take place.  Arrangements are by Englunds Funeral Service of Slaton.  

Brenda was born on February 15, 1951 in Slaton to Julius and Isabelle Stelzer.  She graduated from Post High School in 1969 and attended West Texas State University in Canyon.  She owned Texas Electric Company for some time in the 80’s and then worked at Stelzer Oil Company.  She became part owner of Stelzer Oil Company after her dad passed away in 2015.  She married James Barner at their home in 1990.  Brenda was an animal lover. 

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Brenda is survived by her husband, James of Post; her son, Trey Barner of Slaton; her step-son, Jason Lance Barner of Bastrop; and her brothers, Chris Stelzer and his wife, Joann of Post, Junior Stelzer and his wife, Diane of Post, and Donny Stelzer and his wife, Donna of Lubbock. 

In lieu of flowers, the family would suggest memorials be made to a local animal rescue of your choice.
