Caleb Vaca

Caleb Vaca, 82, of Lubbock, passed away on Friday, March 11, 2022.  

Visitation will be 10:00-11:00 am Monday, March 14, 2022 at Englunds. Funeral Services will follow at 11:00 am Monday, March 14, 2022 at Englunds Chapel. Interment will be at Green Memorial Park in Wilson.  Arrangements are by Englunds Funeral Service of Slaton.

Caleb was born May 3, 1939 in Salado to Carmen and Petra Vaca. He married Anna Castro on August 30, 1958 in Tahoka and they celebrated 63 years of marriage.  He farmed for 33 years in Lynn County before driving a truck for about seven years. Then he went to work for Lynn County as a heavy equipment operator and retired after 17 years. Caleb was a member and a deacon of One Accord Fellowship in Lubbock.  He dearly loved his family and his puppies. 

He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Bartolo Vaca; and his granddaughter, Julie Jo Vaca.

Caleb is survived by his wife, Anna of Lubbock; his sons, Caleb Vaca, Jr. and his wife Jo Ann of Slaton, Adam Vaca of Lubbock, and Abram Vaca and his wife, Louisa of Lubbock; his sisters, Elida Chapa of Weatherford and Mimi Magallanes of Dallas; his brothers, Juaquin Vaca of Belton and Moses Vaca and his wife, Belia of Cameron; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
