Carlos “Charlie” Peralez, 60, of Slaton, passed away Monday, August 17, 2020.
Rosary will be said at 6:00 pm Friday, August 21, 2020 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Slaton. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am Saturday, August 22, 2020 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Slaton. Interment will follow in Englewood Cemetery in Slaton. He will be in state at the funeral home 9-5 on Friday. Arrangements are under the direction of Englunds Funeral Service of Slaton. Due to social distancing and seating on every other pew, seating is limited. Mask are required in the church.
Charlie was born May 30, 1960 in Slaton to Maximiliano and Pauline Peralez. He graduated from Slaton High School. Charlie worked at Klemke’s Sausage Haus for many years. He later worked for Roosevelt School District. Charlie was a big fan of the Dallas Cowboys.
He is preceded in death by his father; his brother, Johnny Peralez; and his son, Joshua Peralez.
Charlie is survived by his mother, Pauline Peralez of Slaton; his daughters, Trina Peralez and husband, Edward Ursua of Lubbock, Kelly Peralez and husband, Demetrio Munoz of Lubbock, Monica Peralez of Lubbock, Alyssa Torres and husband, Abel Torres of Chicago, IL; his sons, Robert Peralez and wife, Emily Hernandez of Lubbock, Matthew Peralez of Lubbock, Carlos Peralez Jr. and wife, Kendra of Lubbock; his sisters, Alice Garza of Slaton, Martha Lopez of Lubbock; his brothers, Max Peralez Jr. and wife, Sylvia of Slaton, Freddy Peralez Sr. and wife, Rosa of Lubbock, Larry Peralez and wife, Joann of Slaton; eighteen grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
