Chantal Respondek

Chantal Respondek, of Idalou, passed away Saturday, April 9, 2022.

Rosary will be said at 6:00 pm Monday, April 11, 2022 at Englunds. Celebration of Mass will be 10:30 am Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at St. Phillip Benizi Catholic Church in Idalou.  Interment will follow at Englewood Cemetery in Slaton.  Arrangements are by Englunds Funeral Service of Slaton.

Chantal Respondek was born on August 21, 1947 in Gatesville to James and Josette Blair. She married John Respondek on September 10, 1966 at St. Elizabeth’s University Parish in Lubbock. What was most important to her was raising her children and grandchildren along side of John.  Her Catholic faith was also an important part of her life. She enjoyed camping, the outdoors, gardening and cooking from scratch.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, James Patrick and Claude Blair; and her sister, Regina Blair.

Chantal is survived by her husband, John; her daughters, Brenna Peralez and her husband, Joe of Idalou and Marcelle Respondek of Idalou; her sons, Bart Respondek and his wife, Chaney of Irving and Brent Respondek of Lubbock; her sisters, Marie Respondek of Slaton, Jo Ann Patterson and her husband, Randy of Teneha, Yvonne Trcalek of Colorado Springs, CO, Elizabeth Minor and her husband, Cliff of Eastland and Kathleen Conger of Lubbock; her brothers, Paul Blair and his wife, Teresa of Blue Mound, WI and Jean Blair of Poolville; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the staff of Texas Home Health and Hospice of Lubbock for the care and respect given to their mom.
