Charlotte Kay Taylor passed away on August 12, 2022 in Kerrville, TX. Graveside Services will be at 10:30 am Thursday, August 18, 2022 at Terrace Cemetery in Post. TX. Arrangements are by Englunds Funeral Service of Slaton.
Charlotte was born November 4, 1943 in Post, TX to Joe and Helen Taylor. She attended Graham Chapel School and graduated from Post High School in 1962. She then attended North Texas State University in Denton, TX, graduating in 1967 with a Music Education degree. Putting her degree to good use, she served as a band director in schools at Petersburg, Roscoe, Aspermont, Cross Plains and Muenster. She loved her bands and teaching kids to play music. After 30 years of teaching, she retired to Possum Kingdom Lake. She later moved to Pipe Creek and finally to Ingram, TX. During her life, she was an avid hunter, fisherman, gardener and cook. She especially loved doing all these activities with her friends and family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters; Jo DeLaune and husband, Gary of San Antonio; and Helen Vern Taylor of Post.
She is survived by her sister, Mickie Fondy and husband, Joe of Lubbock; her niece, Andrea Holley and husband, Robert and their son, Chase of San Antonio; her nephew, Shannon DeLaune and wife, Holly and their children, Mason and Madison of Boerne; her niece, Jodi Ashcraft and husband, Jason and their children, Colton and wife, Whitney, and Abby of Lubbock; her niece, Kellye Clouse and husband, Michael and their children, Lillye and Kaden of Amarillo.
