Cheryl Hopper, aged 68, of Slaton, passed away on Friday, November 8, 2024.

Viewing will be 10:00 am - 2:00 pm Monday, November 11, 2024, followed by a Funeral Service at 2:00 pm at Englunds Chapel.  Interment will follow at Englewood Cemetery.  Arrangements are by Englunds Funeral Service of Slaton.

Cheryl was born on March 26, 1956, in Portales, NM to Harold Lloyd Dow, Sr. and Mary Belle LaBarr Dow. She was raised in Clovis, NM and graduated from Clovis High School in 1974.  She moved to Slaton in 1992. She went to work for the Slaton School District, first as a school nurse, then as a secretary and lastly as an accountant, working for more than 30 years for the school district. She married David Hopper on July 30, 2019, in Slaton.  She loved dancing and riding in her sports cars, listening to music.

She is preceded in death by her father, and her brother, Buster Dow.

Cheryl is survived by her husband; her sons, Trevor Miller and his wife, Crystal of Ransom Canyon, and Jared Miller and his wife, Ashton of Slaton; her mother, Mary Carr of Bovina; her step-daughter, Morgan Shattuck and her husband, Jared of Florida, her step-son, Brandon Hopper and his wife Kenzie of Lubbock; her sister, Tammy Hahn and her husband, Carl of Farwell; her brother, Charlie Dow and his wife, Joy of Plainview; her step-sister, Tracy Treinen of Billings, MT; her grandchildren, Ryleigh, Tayton,  Brynlee and James Miller, Jackson Hopper, Jayden and Alora; and several nieces and nephews.
