Cleatus Rich Obituary

Cleatus Ray Rich, Sr., 89 of Houston, Texas went to be with his Lord on Thursday, May 25, 2017, at his residence in Houston, Texas. Cleatus was born Thursday, February 23, 1928 in Garland, Texas. He was the husband of the late Nettie Collum Rich whom he married October 28, 1972. Cleatus moved to Lubbock in 1949 after returning from the war. He attended the Peace Tabernacle and Faith Tabernacle church faithfully. Cleatus was a veteran from WWII serving and being medically discharged from the Army Air Corps. He was a man who will be remembered as a follower of Christ, always reading his bible and telling people of his love for the Lord. Cleatus is responsible for a large offspring of family that he lovingly called "his people". Cleatus loved his family with all his heart and always requested that he be brought back to West Texas for burial because this is where his people are. He is remembered by family as a cruiser. He loved to just get out and drive with no certain destination in mind. He also had a nose for supper time, family remembering that he would always show up at supper time to enjoy great conversation and fellowship together. He was preceded in death by his son; Cleatus Ray Rich, Jr., and his daughter; Linda Rich Bartley, a granddaughter; Amber Rich, two grandsons; Troy Lester Campbell and Samuel Loyd Campbell. Cleatus was proceded in death by his brother and four sisters.
