Consuelo Villareal, 81, of Slaton, passed away December 18, 2023.

Rosary will be said at 9:30 am Friday, December 22, 2023, at Englunds Chapel followed by a Funeral Service at 10:30 am. Interment will follow in Green Memorial Park cemetery in Wilson. Arrangements are by Englunds Funeral Service of Slaton.

Consuelo beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother known by her kids as “mom” and her grandkids as “Grandma Connie departed her loving family on December 18th, 2023. Consuelo was born in the City of Lamesa on September 21st, 1942, to Abelino and Florencia Hernandez. Consuelo was mother to Anthony Villarreal, Ruben Villarreal, Katherin Youniacutt, and Micheal Villarreal. She raised her children with love and devotion in Wilson Texas with her husband Antonio Villarreal who loved her dearly. As a custodian in small schools and universities Consuelo was known for the pride she put into her work, and nothing less than perfection was acceptable for herself. Her hobbies included spending time with her grandchildren, listening to music, visiting with her sisters, and helping other people out. Her hobbies included having a gift with plants, sewing, and searching through thrift stores for things someone might need.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, Abelino & Florencia Hernandez of Wilson, her grandson Coby Villarreal of Lubbock, a brother Arnulfo Hernandez and sister Manuela Garza both of Wilson.

She is survived by her husband Antonio Villarreal of Wilson and their children Anthony Villarreal of Wilson, Ruben & Alice Villarreal of Lubbock, Katherin & John Youniacutt of Lubbock, and Michael & Peggy Villarreal of Wilson. Her grandchildren Anastasia Sanders of Lubbock, Danielle Chance of Lubbock, Alyssa Villarreal of Lubbock, Seth Villarreal of Wilson, Esme Williamson of Lubbock, Anakin Villarreal of Lubbock. Her great grandchildren Jocelyn Smith, Charleigh Chance, Rowan Sanders, Spencer Chance, Maddox Chance, and Everleigh Sanders all of Lubbock.

Aside from the children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren she doted on, Consuelo is survived by her sisters Florencia Thompson of Goliad, Dora Gomez of Victoria, Lupe Navarro of San Angelo, Juana Pena, Delores Guzman, and Susan Guzman all of Wilson, and a brother Abelino Hernandez Jr. of Tampa whom she cared for very deeply.
