Cruz Gonzalez, 66, of Post, TX. Cruz went to be home with the Lord on October 19, 2021.

Viewing will be held on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 from 11:00am to 8:00pm with a short service from 6:00-7:00pm at Englunds. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 28, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Englunds Chapel.  Interment will follow at Terrace Cemetery in Post, TX. Arrangements are by Englunds Funeral Service, 1400 Woodrow Rd., Slaton, TX, 79364.

Cruz was born on May 3, 1955 in Camargo, Chihuahua Mexico to Pedro González and Cristina Torres. He married Soledad Grado in 1989 in Camargo, Chihuahua Mexico. Cruz accepted the Lord as his personal savior in 1995. He then later attended Iglesia Bautista El Calvario for many years with pastor Rafael Smith.

He enjoyed the simple things in life such as spending time with his family, watching his favorite sport, WWE, and especially, his passion for singing and playing the guitar. He worked for many years as a farmer in the towns of Anton and Post. He was a caring and hard-working man who provided the best for his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Pedro Gonzalez and Cristina Torres, and his brothers, Angel, Florentino and Jesus Florentino (Chiqillo).

Cruz is survived by his wife, Soledad, his daughter, Ana and husband David of Post, his sons, Jose from Brownfield, Luis and his wife Judith from Levelland and Jesus from Lubbock, his sisters, Vicenta Luz and husband Lupe, Maria Elena and husband Gregorio, and Antonia all from Camargo, Chihuahua Mexico, his brother, Elidio and his wife Manuela of Lubbock, and eight grandchildren with one on the way.
