David “Dave” Fritz, 81, of Boerne, formerly of Lubbock, passed away Tuesday, February 23, 2021.

Viewing will be 10:00 am -5:00 pm Friday, February 26, 2021 at Englunds in Slaton. Graveside Service will be at 2:00 pm Saturday, February 27, 2021 at Englewood Cemetery in Slaton.  Social Distancing and mask are required at the funeral home and cemetery.

Dave was born November 11, 1939 in Lubbock to William and Bertha Melcher Fritz. He graduated from Monterey High School and attended Texas Tech University. Dave married Karen Bruster in Lubbock and they celebrated 39 years of marriage.  He was a dedicated cotton farmer, keeping the family tradition. Dave enjoyed golfing, playing cards, hunting with his Brittany Spaniels, and spending time with his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Donald Fritz.

Dave is survived by his wife, Karen of Boerne; his daughters, Jenifer Stratton and husband, Brian, Amanda Fritz, and Laura Holland and husband, Cory; his sister, Carol Fritz; his brother, Kenneth; and his grandchildren, Ava Mlekush, Davie Holland and Ford Holland.
