Diana Elizabeth Jones, 66, of Slaton, passed away on Friday, April 26, 2024.

Graveside Services will be at 2:00 pm Sunday, May 5, 2024, at Englewood Cemetery in Slaton. Arrangements are by Englunds Funeral Service of Slaton.

Diana was born on January 20, 1958, in Lubbock to Charles and Elizabeth Perser. She graduated from Shallowater High School in 1976 and earned an associate degree from South Plains College. She worked for over 35 years for Texas Tech Health Science Center and was the office manager for Internal Medicine. She was a long-time member of American Kennel Club and she and her husband enjoyed showing many breeds of dogs.  Being an animal lover, she was also experienced in working with quarter horses and was also a barrel racer.  She loved local and western history and was an avid reader.

She is predeceased by her parents, and her husband.

Diana is survived by her sister, Debra Hodges and her husband, Tyson of Leander; her brother, Marvin Keith Perser of Slaton; her nephew, Tyler Hodges and his wife, Angela of Indianapolis, Indiana; her niece, Tori Hodges-Fretwell and her husband, Kevin; her great niece, Addison Elizabeth Fretwell all of Bentonville, Arkansas; and numerous cousins in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and California.
