Dolores Maria Guzman entered her eternal home and Heaven gained another angel on July 20, 2024.

Visitation will be 10:00 am-1:00 pm Friday, July 26, 2024, at Englunds Chapel, followed by a Funeral Service at 1:00 pm. Arrangements are by Englunds Funeral Service of Slaton.

Dolores was born to Abelino and Florencia Hernandez on February 2, 1955, in Thorndale, Tx. She married the love of her life, Jesse Guzman on March 23, 1977. Dolores was a proud homemaker and found much joy in the simple things in life. She loved spending time on the porch listening to music. She enjoyed talking and being with her sisters. Dolores adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and she cherished every moment with her children. She enjoyed listening to the rain, family gatherings, mainly so she could show off her dance moves, and she had a beautiful singing voice that brought joy to those around her. She will forever be remembered for her loving spirit, kindness, and the joy she brought to those fortunate enough to know her. May her soul rest in peace as we gather to celebrate her life and the memories she leaves behind.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Abelino and Florencia Hernandez; her brother Arnulfo Hernandez; and her sisters, Manuela Garza and Consuelo Villareal

Dolores leaves behind her loving husband, Jesse Guzman of Wilson; her daughters, Marcy (Ramon) Perez of Post; Marlene (Pete)  Moreno of Slaton, and Lori (Keith) Massingill of Hamilton; her sons Marcus (Jessica) Vergara of Levelland, Matthew (Amber) Guzman of Wilson, Carlos (Ashley) Guzman of Lubbock, Dominic (Veronica) Guzman of Slaton, and Christopher Guzman of Wilson; her brother, Abelino Hernandez Jr. of Dade City, Florida; her sisters Florence (Peewee) Thompson of Goliad, Dora Gomez of Victoria, Guadalupe Navarro of San Angelo, Juana (JJ) Pena of New Home and Susan (Johnny) Guzman of Wilson; 29 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; many, many nieces and nephews and countless other children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren she adopted as her own.
