Don Edward Schneider, 78, of Wilson, passed from this Earth into the loving and waiting arms of our Lord and Savior on Tuesday, March 21, 2023.

Graveside services will be 2:30 pm Sunday, March 26, 2023 at Green Memorial Cemetery in Wilson with Rev. Jim Wilkerson, Jr. officiating. There will be no viewing or visitation. Arrangements are under the direction of Englunds Funeral Service of Slaton.

Don was born September 28,1944, in Slaton, Texas, to the late Willie and Hattie Schneider. He graduated from Wilson High School in 1963. On Saturday, July 30, 1966, Don Schneider married Patsy Shaw of Wilson. Don and his wife lived in Arizona while he served in the U. S. Air Force until September of 1968 when he left the service, at which time they moved back to Wilson, and he went to work for South Plains Electric Coop of Lubbock, as a mechanic. He retired from South Plains Electric Coop at the age of 47.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Patsy; and his siblings, Owen, JoAnne, Truitt and Bobby.

Don is survived by his daughters, Lora Bird and husband, James; Nancy Schneider, and Gale Ehlo and husband, Alan; his twin sister, Helen Robertson and husband, Glenn; and his grandchildren, Loran, Jacob and Noah Bird.  Don was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and uncle.
