Donita Johnston

Donita Carolyn Johnston was called home to the Lord on Monday, October 25, 2021. A private Graveside Service will be held Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at Resthaven Cemetery in Southland, Texas.

Donita was born December 1, 1936 in Slaton, Texas to Cullen and Oma Faye Morris Brown. She attended Slaton Schools. On July 12, 1953 Donita married E. H. Johnston. They were married 64 years before his death in June 2016.  Donita enjoyed serving her church by playing the piano and teaching Sunday school. She also enjoyed gardening and raising numerous animals. 

Donita was preceded in death by her husband, E H, sister, Linda Livingston and brother, Leslie Brown.

She is survived by her children, Scharla Foryszewski and husband, David (Ski) of Amarillo, Kevin and wife, Kelly of Slaton, Cristie Bradshaw and husband, Tom of Amarillo and Steve and wife, Alison of Lubbock, four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
