Dorothy Bownds Obituary

Dorothy Louise Bownds, 75, of Slaton, passed away Monday, November 8, 2021.

Graveside Services will be at 10:00 am, Saturday, November 13, 2021 at Englewood Cemetery in Slaton. There will be no viewing or visitation. Arrangements are by Englunds Funeral Service.

Dorothy was born October 29, 1946 in Slaton to Vernon and Helen Kelly. She was a beautician for over 50 years. She loved to travel and play slot machines. Dorothy was a huge fan of Texas Tech and the Kansas City Chiefs.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Dorothy is survived by her daughters, Ronda Ramsey and husband, William of San Diego, CA. and Tonia Bownds of Hurst; her sister, Marva Bailey and her husband, Danny of Lubbock; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
