Dorothy Moerbe

Dorothy Lorine Patschke Moerbe, 91, of Wolfforth, passed away Tuesday, January 10, 2023.  

Viewing will be 11:00 am-6:00 pm Thursday, January 12, 2023 with a visitation following from 6:00-7:00 pm at Englunds. Funeral Services will be at 1:30 pm Friday, January 13, 2023 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Wilson. Interment will follow at Green Memorial Park Cemetery in Wilson.  Arrangements are by Englunds Funeral Service of Slaton.

Dorothy was born in Thorndale, TX. on December 21, 1931 to Martin and Meta Patschke. She was baptized January 1, 1932 and confirmed March 25, 1945 at St. Paul Lutheran Church.

Dorothy married Johnny Clarence Moerbe on September 17, 1950 at St. Paul Lutheran Church. They moved south of Wolfforth in 1956 to farm, retiring in 1991. She enjoyed working on the farm, fishing and working in her yard.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her brother, Charles Patschke; her grandson, Matthew Moerbe and her son-in-law, Joe Drowns.

Dorothy is survived by her children, Karen Drowns of Wolfforth and Douglas Moerbe of Ropesville; her grandchildren, Tiffany (Jeremy) Reed of Kress, and BreeAnn (Clayton) Lancaster of Fulshear; her great grandchildren, Keaton Myers, Addilyn and Rhett Reed and Laurel Lancaster and her siblings, Betty Joyce Peters, Peggy Bell, Verna Talkmitt and Dolores Hengst.

The family suggest memorials be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church P.O. Box 136, Wilson, Tx. 79381.
