Edward J. Lemming, 88, of Lubbock, passed away on Friday, February 21, 2025.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, February 27, 2025 at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park. There is no scheduled viewing or visitation. Arrangements are by Englunds Funeral Service of Slaton.
Edward was born on August 25, 1936 in Morristown, N.J. to Edward and Mammie Lemming. He attended school in Morristown and joined the U. S. Army and served from 1953-1956. When his tour was over with the Army at age of 25, he became a truck driver. He married Dolly Bullard in October of 1984, and she passed away on September 1, 2011. While working as a truck driver, he drove for 14 years for Robert Heath and in 1998, at the age of 62, he retired from Omega Transportation.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Dolly, his son, Thomas Lemming, and his sister, Marie Kennedy.
Edward is survived by his daughter, Treva Havens and her husband, Bobby of Lubbock; his son, Edward Snyder and his wife, Brenda of Whorton, N.J.; his grandchildren, Matt Snyder and his wife, Kirsten and Vangelia Perryman and her wife, Val; and his great-granddaughters, Ashlyn Perryman and Andi Smith.
