Elaine Gentry, 77, of Slaton, passed away Friday, December 24, 2021.

A Memorial Service will be 10:00 am Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at Southcrest Baptist Church in Lubbock.  The service will be live streamed at https://southcrestlive.tv. Arrangements are by Englunds Funeral Service of Slaton.

Elaine was born July 9, 1944 in Slaton to Thurston and Wanza Barnes. She married Earl Wayne Gentry November 2, 1963 in Slaton. Elaine was involved with Alliance of Therapy Dogs and shared her dogs Raffee and Jojo in the program.  She was a member of Southcrest Baptist Church and an avid tennis player. 

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her brother, Jackie Barnes; and her great-granddaughter, Collins Ann Lindsey. 

Elaine is survived by her daughters, Susan Combs and her husband, Mike of Lubbock and Dana Goodell and her husband, Kevin of Las Vegas; her sister, Carolyn Marley and her husband Spencer of Slaton; 6 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
