Eva P. Martinez

Eva P. Martinez, 69, of Slaton, passed away Sunday, October 3, 2021.

Funeral Services will be at 10:00 am, Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at Englunds Chapel in Slaton.  No public viewing. Arrangements are by Englunds Funeral Service. Masks are required at the funeral home.

Eva was born May 27, 1952 to Paul and Margarita Pequeno in Plainview. She married Ramon Martinez in Eagle Pass, Tx. Eva was a caregiver to her parents and others for about three years. She was a loving, caring, christian woman who loved being surrounded by her family. Eva enjoyed reading her bible, watching Hallmark movies, and singing. She was a great cook and had an open door for everyone. 

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her grandson, Frank Gallegos, Jr. and her sister, Mary Bernal.

Eva is survived by her daughters; Blanca Flores of Lubbock, Martha Alvear and her husband, Louis Jr. of Slaton, Eva Ochoa and her husband, Manuel of San Antonio, Teri Rodriguez and her husband, Juan of Odessa, Celeste Gallegos and her husband, Frank of Slaton and Rachel Martinez of San Antonio; her son Ramon Martinez Jr. and his wife, Vanessa of Slaton; her sisters Tommie Pequeno of Midland, Naomi Pequeno of Lubbock, Esperanza Luna of Uvalde, Paula Cisneros of Midland;  her brothers Paul Pequeno Jr. of Midland and Samuel Pequeno and his wife, Margie of Missouri; 19 grandchildren and 5great-grandchildren.
