Everett Lawayne “Sandy” Bloxom, 87, of Slaton, passed away on Saturday, March 22, 2025.

Viewing will be 11 am-5 pm Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at Englunds Chapel. Funeral Services will be at 10:30 am on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at Englunds Chapel. Interment will follow at Englewood Cemetery. Arrangements are by Englunds Funeral Service of Slaton.

Sandy was born on March 7, 1938 in Owens, Texas to Everett Denzel and Virgie Nonie Bloxom. As a child, he and his family lived in various places, including Grassland and Lampasas, where his aunt and uncle raised sheep. Eventually he moved to Slaton, and he met Delma Tucker. They were married on August 23, 1959 at the Nazarene Church in Slaton.  He was a member of Trinity Evangelical Methodist Church.  Sandy worked as a mechanic for many years eventually opening his own shop, Sandy Bloxom Auto Repair. Later he began farming, which he loved and was still farming to this day. He enjoyed hunting with his son, sons-in-law, and his grandkids.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife, Delma Bloxom.  

Sandy is survived by his daughters, Cindy Smith and her husband, Roddy, Vicky Polk and her husband, Randall, and Wendy Hill and her husband, Michael; his son, Stacy Bloxom and his wife, Cheryl; thirteen grandchildren; and eighteen great-grandchildren.

The family suggest memorials be made to a favorite charity.
