Foy Dennis of Lubbock left this earthly life to begin eternal life with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, October 28, 2020 after courageously battling cancer.
Graveside Services will be at 2:00 pm Sunday, November 1, 2020 at Hillside Memorial Gardens in Snyder, Texas. Arrangements are under the direction of Englunds Funeral Service of Slaton.
Foy Wilburn Dennis was born August 15, 1941 to Harvey Ben Dennis and Lucy Mae Scarborough Dennis in Snyder. Foy embodied an entrepreneurial spirit and was self employed most of his life. He retired from the automotive parts business as owner of Warehouse Service Company in Lubbock in 2008. Foy loved to travel and enjoyed spending time at his residence on Grand Lake in Oklahoma. Foy had many talents and accomplishments including a vast knowledge of firearms and photography. He was a licensed pilot and held complex, twin engine and instrument ratings. Foy was a member of Bible Baptist Church in Slaton.
Foy is preceded in death by his parents; his son, Michael D. Dennis; his brother Arthur Lawson Dennis; and his granddaughter, Lucy Michelle Dennis.
Foy leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 36 years Sharian Dennis; his sons, James Dennis and Danny Dennis; his step children Rhonda Smith, Reatha Horrell and her husband Gary, and Andy Pearce and his wife Teri; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest a donation to Bible Baptist Church in memory of Foy.
