Frances Rios

Francisca “Frances” Rios, 72, of Wilson, passed away Monday, July 17, 2023.

Viewing will be 11:00-6:00 Wednesday, July 19, 2023 at Englunds, followed by a visitation 6:00-7:00 pm. Mass will be celebrated at 1:30 pm Thursday, July 20, 2023 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Wilson. Interment will follow at Green Memorial Park Cemetery in Wilson.

Frances born September 2, 1950 in Raymondsville to Octavio and Guadalupe Cruz. She moved to the Wilson area as a teenager and became a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Shortly after moving to the Wilson area she married Juan Rios. She worked as waitress at various restaurants. She was an active member of her church and was president of the Guadalupanas. She was an animal lover, enjoyed music and especially loved her grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her daughter Beatrice Rios; several brothers and sisters and three grandchildren.

Frances is survived by her daughters, Debbie Phillips of Carlsbad, Elizabeth Rios of Lubbock, Nancy Frausto and her husband, Milton of Lubbock, Belle Maldonado and her husband, David of Wilson, and Samantha Dogget and her husband, Kelvin of Hermleigh; her sons Juan Rios Jr. of Lubbock, Filipe Rios and his wife, Lydia of Lubbock and David Ariaz of Wilson; her sisters Rosa Torres of Lubbock, Blanca Torres of Lubbock, Nelda Flores of Primera and Josie Estes and her husband, George of Nebraska;  her brother Roland Cruz and his wife Penny of Lockhart; 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
