Francis Flores

Francis Flores, 94, of Slaton, passed away Wednesday, December 2, 2020.

Viewing will be from 10-5 Monday, December 7 at the funeral home.  Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am, Tuesday December 8, 2020 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Slaton. Burial will follow at Englewood Cemetery in Slaton.  Arrangements are under the direction of Englunds Funeral Service. Due to social distancing and seating on every other pew, seating is limited and masks are required in the church and the funeral home. The service will be streamed on Englunds Funeral Service Facebook Page.

Francis was born on January 29, 1926 in Hamlin to Thomas and Candelaria Rivera. She moved to Post in 1953 and later moved to Slaton. Francis was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church and the Guadalupanas where she served as a past president. She worked for a laundry and later worked at Texas Instruments until her retirement in 1989. 

She is preceded in death by her parents; her grandson, Andrew Davila; one sister; and four brothers.

Francis is survived by her sons, Barney Davila and his wife Christina of San Antonio and Frank Davila and his wife Joann of Abilene; several grandchildren and several great- grandchildren.
