Georgia Ann Thomason, 70, of Slaton, passed away on Tuesday, February 6, 2024.

Memorial Services will be 10:30 am Friday, February 16, 2024, at Englunds Chapel. Arrangements are by Englunds Funeral Service of Slaton.

Georgia was born on October 27, 1953, in Freer, Texas to George and Evelyn Thomason. She attended the Sunshine Cottage for the Deaf in San Antonio in her early elementary years and  graduated from Stroman High School in Victoria.  After graduation she attended Texas Women’s College.  Georgia married Eddie McCarver in 1982 in Victoria and they had two children, Rebecca and Edwin. In 1991, she married Blas Ramirez in Lubbock. She enjoyed meeting with her deaf friends all across Texas and at the Lubbock Community Services for the Deaf and loved spending time with her grandkids and traveling.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Blas Ramirez; and her nephew, Criswell Yantis.

Georgia is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Kibitlewski and her husband, Joseph of Slaton; her son, Edwin McCarver, Jr. of Slaton; her sister, Ora Lynn Abney and her husband, Thomas of Dallas; and her grandchildren, Jeremy, Kyle, and Kennedy Kibitlewski.
