Gloria Sanchez, 72, of Slaton, passed away Thursday January 13, 2022.

Rosary will be said at 6:00 pm Friday, January 21, 2022 at Englunds. Mass will be celebrated 10:00 am Saturday, January 22, 2022 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Slaton.  Interment will follow at Englewood Cemetery in Slaton.  

Gloria was born April 16, 1949 in Rosebud, TX  to Martin and Ignacia Sanchez.  She worked at Covenant Hospital, Alco and Slaton ISD where she retired from. Gloria loved spending time with her daughters and grandchildren and little “Avery”. She enjoyed playing machines at the game room. Oldies were her favorite music to listen to in her spare time. She enjoyed visiting with family and friends. She will be missed by many especially her daughters and grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Cecilia Martinez and her brothers Juan Sanchez, Ricardo Martinez and Don Torres.

Gloria is survived by her daughters, Lisa Sanchez and her husband, Albert Aguirre and Rachel Rubio and her husband, Sean; her brother, Steve Martinez and his wife, Mary Ann; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild and two on the way and many nieces and nephews.
