Obituary
Gonzalo Gallegos-Rivera, 75, of Slaton, passed away on Monday, April 18, 2022.
Viewing will be 12:00 pm- 6:00 pm Sunday, April 24, 2022 at Englunds. Funeral Services will be at 10:30 am Monday, April 25, 2022 at Bible Baptist Church in Slaton. Interment will follow at Englewood Cemetery in Slaton. Arrangements are by Englunds Funeral Service of Slaton.
Gonzalo was born April 4, 1947 in Mexico to Guadalupe and Francisca Gallegos. He was a very loving, caring christian man. Most of his life he worked in farming and he enjoyed being a truck driver. Gonzalo loved his family and friends. He also enjoyed woodworking and going out to eat.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his wives, Susie Gallegos and Mary Ellen Martel Gallegos; his sons, Jessie Gallegos and Tony Martinez and his son in-law, Frank Martinez.
Gonzalo is survived by his daughters, Rachel Martinez of Slaton and Sandra Gallegos of Mexico; his sons Frank Gallegos and his wife, Celeste of Slaton, Encarnacion Martel and his wife, Samantha of Slaton, Adam Martinez of San Antonio, Sergio Gallegos and his wife, Eva of Dallas and Lupe Gallegos of Chicago, Illinois; his sisters, Elolsa Gallegos and Tonita Gallegos both of Mexico; his brother Ricardo Gallegos of Mexico; 22 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
