Jean was born to Joseph Wanstreet and Velma Kelley Wanstreet on September 20, 1942.  Her childhood years were spent in North Braddock, Pennsylvania where she met her childhood sweetheart and husband, Vincent Tasillo.  After a four-year courtship, Jean and Vince were married on September 4, 1963.  She was blessed with one child, Anthony Tasillo, and eventually two grandsons who enjoyed playing games with her and having tea parties together on the back porch consisting of soda and homemade cookies.  Jean was a devoted homemaker and supportive military wife for 60 years.  During her spare time, she enjoyed crochet and cross-stitch, often sharing her finished works with friends and loved ones.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Patsey M. Brooks of Mt. Pleasant, OH.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband Vincent of Lubbock, son, Anthony and wife Whitney, two grandsons, Ashton and Domenick Tasillo, all of Bryan, TX, cousin, Sandy Wanstreet-Riley of Lubbock, and several grand-dogs.  She is also survived by her embraced extended family, Alan Ehlo and wife, Gale of Slaton, TX and Bibi Roy-Hollis and family of Frisco, TX.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to Dr. Jeremy Brown, Amy Cohen, and all the wonderful staff at Hospice of Lubbock.  The family suggests memorials in Jean’s honor to Hospice of Lubbock.
