Jerry Don Ross 87 passed from this life on Friday, November 15, 2024. 

Visitation will be Wednesday November 20,2024 from 6:00pm -7:00 pm at Englunds Funeral Service in Slaton. Graveside Services will be held Thursday November 21, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Green Memorial Cemetery in Wilson, Texas. Arrangements are by Englunds Funeral Service of Slaton.

Jerry was born on March 30,1937 in Canton, Texas to Fagen and Rubye Ross. He graduated from Slaton High School and attended College at Cisco Jr College. Jerry served his country in the United States Army During the Korean War. After his service in the Army, Jerry Settled in Wilson, Texas, where he served his community through farming and his two businesses, Ross Grain and Wilson Lumber & Farm Supply. While running his businesses, Jerry was very active in his community serving in the Wilson Lions Club, and as a member of the Wilson First Baptist Church. Jerry was always an active participant in any Wilson community event.

When not working or serving his community, Jerry enjoyed snow skiing, water skiing, and in just about any water sport with the exception of fishing but would never turn down the opportunity to eat the fish someone else had caught and prepared. Jerry also enjoyed woodworking and collecting model trains.

 Jerry is survived by his two Daughters; Laurie Kireilis of Rockport, TX, Jennifer Hooper and Husband Billy of Plano, TX., two Sons; Jay Ross and Wife Patty of Lubbock, TX, Jeremy Ross of Smyer, TX, 9 Grandchildren, and 8 Great-Grandchildren.
