Jimmie “Jim” Don Green, 81, of Lubbock, passed away on Thursday, May 1, 2025.

Viewing and visitation will be from 5-7:00 pm on Sunday, May 4, 2025, at Englunds Chapel.  Graveside Services will be at 2:00 pm on Monday, May 5, 2025, at East Mound Cemetery in Matador, Texas. Arrangements are by Englunds Funeral Service of Slaton, Texas. 

Jim was born on January 11, 1944, in Matador, Texas to Jack and Decima Faulkner Green. He graduated from Angelo State University and enlisted in the U. S. Navy. He married Donna Furgeson on November 24, 1966. Jim worked in the Lumber Industry for over 40 years. He was member of Shallowater Methodist Church.

He enjoyed hobbies, hunting, fishing, woodworking, and all kinds of sports. He loved his family and enjoyed his grandkids’ activities and was their number one fan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his sisters, Christene Edwards and Elwanda Simmons.  

Jim is survived by his beautiful wife, Donna; his son, Dr. Brian Green and his wife, Dr. Shelby Green of Lubbock; his daughters, Krista Pounds and her husband, Tanner of Idalou, and Melisssa Hardison and her husband, Scott, of Kingfisher, OK; his grandchildren, Dr. Conley Green and his wife, Chase, Carson Green, Gage Pounds and Gentry Pounds, Savannah Hardison and Hayes Hardison; his brother, Tom Green and his wife, Julie of Midland; his nieces and nephews, and his cousins; and  Mark and his wife, Debbie  Corkery and Johnny and Mary Furgeson, all of Lubbock.
