John T. Gumm

John T. Gumm,88, of Slaton, passed away Thursday, October 29, 2020.

Graveside Services were Monday, November 2, 2020 at Englewood Cemetery in Slaton. Arrangements are under the direction of Englunds Funeral Service of Slaton.

John was born October 16, 1932 at Mercy Hospital in Slaton to E.B. and Hattie Gumm. John T. loved family and his life on the family farm in Lynn County. He resided on the Gumm farm until 1992 when he moved to Slaton to live with his sister Bessie and her husband Edwin.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and his sisters, Rena Mae Kaatz and Bessie Rose Martin.

John is survived by his nieces; Diane Howell and her husband Jim of Slaton, LaNell Martin of Slaton and Karen Ashworth and her husband Pat of Elk City Oklahoma; his nephew Clinton Martin and his wife D.D. of Granbury; his great niece Alisha Murphy and her husband Rex of Cotton Center; his great nephew Lance Pinkert of Elk City, Oklahoma; and his beloved Red Bucket Ice Cream Bunch, Danielle, Kandyce and Corbin.
