John Lines

John Lines,77, of Slaton, passed away Monday, December 27, 2021.

John was born May 14, 1944 in El Paso to Harrold and Annabelle Lines. He graduated in 1961 from Gadsden High School and from UTEP in 1970. In 1970 he went to work for El Paso Natural Gas. After moving to Lubbock in 1975, John opened Michael’s Deli and Pub. Over the years he managed Earl Scheib Paint Shop and worked and retired from BNSF.  Later he opened South Plains Chem-Dry. John married Donnetta Alford on December, 17, 1983 in Las Vegas.

He is preceded in death by his parents. 

John is survived by his wife; his step-daughter, Jenny Alford of Dallas; his step-sons Topsy Alford of Southland and Cody Alford and his wife, Teresa of Southland; 5 step-grandchildren and 1 step-great-grandchild.
