Johnny Rackler, 87, of Slaton, passed away Wednesday May 24, 2023.
Visitation will be 12:00 pm-2:00 pm Sunday, May 28, 2023 at Englunds with Graveside Services following at 2:00 pm at Englewood Cemetery in Slaton. Arrangements are by Englunds Funeral Service of Slaton.
Johnny was born November 1, 1935 in Garza county to Roscoe and Oma Rackler. He married Wanda Edwards in Slaton and they celebrated 68 years of marriage. Johnny was a farmer and a welder. He enjoyed playing dominoes with his buddies and loved fishing. Johnny was a simple man that was loved by many.
Johnny was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Belinda Seymour and his great granddaughter, Kynlee Lawrence.
He is survived by his daughter, Debbie Matthews and her husband, Tracy of Slaton; his sons, Jimmy Rackler and his wife, Julie of Greenville and Ronnie Rackler and his wife, Shannon of Slaton; his sisters, Frances Langley of Levelland, Nancy Bartley of Lubbock and Patsy Newton and her husband, Jerry of Canyon Lakes; his brother, Roscoe Rackler of Smyer; 10 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.
