Josephine Klattenhoff

Josephine Klattenhoff, 90, of Lubbock, passed away Thursday, January 28, 2021. 

Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, February 4, 2021 at Englewood Cemetery in Slaton.  Social distancing and mask are required.  No viewing or visitation but a book is available for friends and family to sign. Arrangements are by Englunds Funeral Service of Slaton. 

Josephine was born April 16, 1930 in Southland to Willie and Bessie Becker.  She graduated from Southland High School. She also graduated nursing school in Milwaukee, receiving her degree as a registered nurse. She worked for seventeen years as a nurse. She moved to Center, Colorado in 1967 and began farming and did so until 1985. She was the only female farmer in the valley. She moved to Lubbock in 1985 where she lived most of her life except for a short time when she moved to Ruidoso. She loved dancing and singing and was once asked to tour with Patsy Cline by Patsy herself. She attended Grace Lutheran Church in Slaton 

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bill Klattenhoff Jr.; her daughter, Theresa Hall; one sister; and three brothers.

Josephine is survived her daughter, Rebecca Barrette and husband, Bradley of Lubbock; her sons, Dean Foerster of Lubbock and Kevin Foerster and wife, Lori of Lubbock; her brother, William Becker Jr.  of Slaton; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
