Josetta Heinrich, 86, of Slaton, passed away on Thursday, July 25, 2024.

Viewing will be 1:00-5:00 pm Sunday, July 28, 2024, with a visitation from 5:00-6:00 pm at Englunds Chapel, followed by a Rosary Service at 6:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am Monday, July 29, 2024, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Slaton.  Interment will follow at Englewood Cemetery in Slaton. Arrangements are by Englunds Funeral Service of Slaton.

Josetta was born on July 27, 1937, in Dimmitt to Andrew and Katherine Acker. She grew up in Nazareth. Josetta married Franklin Heinrich on January 19, 1960, and moved to Slaton. Josetta was an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church where she played the organ and piano for many years. She was a member of the Altar Society and served as president. Josetta helped start Friday Prayer Hour and helped start and maintain the flower garden at Mercy Retreat Center.  She was an avid music lover, and she also played the accordion. 

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; five sisters; and five brothers.  

Josetta is survived by her daughters, Darlene Irwin and her husband, Patrick and Brenda Goad; her sons, Randy and his wife, Trish, Lonny and his wife, Pam and Craig and his wife, Melinda; her sister, Aurelia Schoenenberger; her brother, Jerry Acker and his wife, Judy; her sister-in-law, Pearl Acker; 13 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.
