Juanita Coné D. Garza

Juanita D. Coné Garza, of Slaton, passed away Wednesday, September 2, 2020.

Funeral Services will be at 10:00 am Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at Bible Baptist Church in Slaton. Arrangements are under the direction of Englunds Funeral Service of Slaton. Social distancing and mask are suggested in the church.

Juanita was born in Slaton on September 19, 1949 to Benancio and Delfina Diaz. She married Manuel Garza in Slaton. Juanita was a wonderful housewife, mother and grandmother. She spent a lot of time at the Slaton Senior Center. She enjoyed watching cartoons and playing games on her phone.  

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her son, Alex Castillo and four brothers; Ignacio Diaz, Moses Diaz, Jesse Diaz and Lee Diaz.

Juanita is survived by her daughters, Diane Castillo and husband Carlos Salas of Lubbock, Michelle Salas and husband Raymond of Post, Christy Castillo of Lubbock, Rebecca Arizpe and husband Jose of Houston; one sister, Sara Maldonado of Slaton; one brother Joe Diaz of Slaton; 15 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
