Kacey Nutt

Kacey Nutt passed away on Sunday December 5, 2021 surrounded by family and friends.

Visitation will be at 6:00-7:30 pm Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at Englunds in Slaton.  Funeral Services will be at 10:30 am Thursday, December 9, 2021 Hillside Christian Church, Norwich Campus, West Building, 6206 Norwich, in Lubbock. Arrangements by Englunds Funeral Service of Slaton.

Kacey was born on April 28, 1990 in Dayton, Ohio to Wayne and Kim Young. Kacey was a strong, kind spirit that loved her family and friends more deeply than they can comprehend. A teacher with a true caring spirit, Kacey loved her students at Oak Grove Elementary in Brownfield immensely.

Kacey is survived by her husband, Jerrod of Lubbock; her daughter, Abigail Nutt; her son, Theodore Nutt; her grandparents, Bill and Beverly Wynn; her mother, Kim Soto; her father and step-mother, Wayne and Kellie Young; her sister Kristin Whitsitt and Kristin’s husband Jake, along with their children (Kacey’s nieces and nephew) Elise, Audrey, and Ian; and Kacey’s half-sister Kenley; her mother-in-law and father-in-law Caprice and David Nutt; her sister-in-law and her husband, Caitlyn and Michael Gordy, along with their daughter (Kacey’s niece) Sawyer; also Kacey's aunts, uncles, and cousins; and Jerrod's grandparents, Truman and Jan Johnson.

The family requests memorial contributions be made to the ASPCA, The American Stroke Association, or your local library.
